+DARING BRIDE (f, 2, Scat Daddy–Darling Bride, by Unbridled), the 2-5 pick off a steady work tab, rated at the back of the five horse field through the opening stages off this affair rained off the turf. She moved up four wide down the backstretch to take closer account and was the widest of all as the field was splayed across the track evenly through a half-mile in :51.33. The dark bay moved alongside Determined Lady (Big Drama) as that duo began to pull away from the field heading into the bend and gained control on the turn. Daring Bride shook free of that rival in the stretch, ducked in toward the rail in the lane before being skillfully corrected, and pulled clear to a 6 3/4-length win. Determined Lady finished well clear of the others to secure place honors. The winner is a half to fellow Red Oak homebred Debonair Darling (Formal Dinner), MSP, $193,020. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $24,000. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
